1. Scope and Acceptance
These Subscription Terms are Supplemental Terms under the Terms of Service and apply
when you purchase a paid subscription on VerSquare. They apply to every paid plan, including Business
Account (provider) subscriptions and Professional Account subscriptions.
You accept these terms when you complete a purchase. Where these terms conflict with the
Business Account Terms or the
Professional Account Terms, these terms control with respect to billing,
pricing, renewal, refunds, and cancellation. For every other subject, the account-type terms control.
2. Plans, Pricing, and Term
Subscriptions are sold on an annual term. Current plans and prices are shown on the Platform at
the point of purchase and in your billing settings.
The price you see at checkout is the price you pay for that term. If a plan's list price changes
during your term, your existing term is unaffected.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
3. Automatic Renewal
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each annual term and your payment method on
file is charged the then-current price for your plan, unless you cancel before the renewal date.
We send a reminder before each renewal to the email address on your account. You can see your next
renewal date at any time in your billing settings.
You can cancel at any time, including immediately after purchase, and cancellation takes effect as
described in Section 5.
4. 30-Day Refund Window
You may request a full refund of a subscription payment within 30 days of that payment, for any
reason. This applies to every paid plan and to both initial purchases and renewal payments.
To request a refund, email support@versquare.com from the address on
your account, or use the contact link in your billing settings. We process approved refunds to the
original payment method.
After the 30-day window has passed, subscription payments are non-refundable and cancellation stops
future renewals rather than refunding the current term. This Section takes precedence over
Terms of Service Section 18.5 (No Refunds),
Professional Account Terms Section 10.7 (No Refunds), and
Business Account Terms Section 14.4 (No Early Termination Fee) — each of
which addresses refunds on termination, and each of which is subject to this Section.
Nothing in this Section limits any refund right you have under applicable law.
5. Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription yourself, at any time, from your billing settings. No phone call,
no email, and no retention conversation is required.
Cancellation stops future renewals. Unless you are within the 30-day window described in Section 4,
your subscription remains active for the remainder of the term you have already paid for, and paid
features stay available until the term ends.
Cancelling a subscription is not the same as closing your account. Your account, your profile, and
your reviews remain on the Platform after a subscription ends. See Section 9.
6. What Happens When a Subscription Ends
When a paid subscription ends — by cancellation, by non-payment, or by expiry — your account generally moves to the free tier unless another active subscription or complimentary access applies.
General principles:
- Your account and core content remain. Downgrading or cancelling a subscription is not the same as closing your account. Profiles, reviews, and other content you created are governed by the Terms of Service and the applicable account-type terms (Business Account Terms or Professional Account Terms), not removed solely because a subscription ended.
- Paid features stop when coverage ends. Features that require an active paid subscription become unavailable when your subscription ends. Content visible only on paid tiers may be hidden rather than deleted.
- Re-subscribing restores paid access. If you subscribe again later, paid features and any tier-gated display generally resume without requiring you to re-enter content you already provided.
- Product-specific rules apply. Other paid products may have different billing, refund, and access mechanics. Where a product has its own supplemental terms, those terms control for that product.
Tier names, feature lists, and current pricing are described on the Platform at the point of purchase.
7. Complimentary and Sponsored Access
We sometimes provide paid-tier access at no charge — for example to participants in a beta program,
or through a seat funded by a firm.
Complimentary access carries no charge, no payment method on file, and no automatic renewal. It
ends on the date stated when it was granted, at which point the account moves to the free tier as
described in Section 6. Because no payment is made, the refund window in Section 4 does not apply to
complimentary access; it applies only to payments you actually make.
Choosing to purchase a subscription after complimentary access ends is an ordinary purchase and is
covered by all of these terms, including the 30-day refund window.
8. Failed Payments
If a renewal payment fails, we retry it and notify you at the email address on your account so you can
update your payment method. If payment is not completed after our retry schedule ends, the
subscription lapses and the account moves to the free tier as described in Section 6.
9. Account Termination and Active Subscriptions
Closing or terminating your account, whether by you or by us under the
Terms of Service, cancels any active subscription. Termination does not itself
entitle you to a refund of amounts already paid, except where the payment falls inside the 30-day
window in Section 4 or where applicable law requires one.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Subscription Terms. For material changes we will give notice as required by
applicable law, including the FTC's Click-to-Cancel Rule and California Business and Professions Code
Sections 17600–17606, and the change will not apply retroactively to a term you have already paid
for.
