Other tracking technologies we use:
- Web beacons/pixels - Small images embedded in web pages or emails that record whether content was viewed
- Local storage - HTML5 local storage used to store preferences in your browser
- Mobile identifiers - Device advertising IDs used for analytics

3. Cookie Consent Banner
3.1 How It Works
When you first visit versquare.com, a cookie consent banner appears allowing you to:
- Accept all cookies - Enables all cookie categories
- Reject non-essential cookies - Only essential cookies are set; analytics and marketing cookies are blocked
- Customize preferences - Choose which categories of non-essential cookies to allow
Your preference is saved and applies to subsequent visits.
3.2 Changing Your Preferences
You can change your cookie preferences at any time:
- Click the cookie preferences link in the website footer
- This reopens the consent banner with your current settings
- Changes take effect immediately
3.3 Default State
Before you make a choice:
- Essential cookies are active (required for the site to function)
- Analytics and marketing cookies are NOT active (opt-in model)
4. Global Privacy Control (GPC)
4.1 What GPC Is
Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a browser signal that communicates your privacy preferences to websites. When enabled, it tells websites that you do not want your personal information sold or shared.
4.2 How We Respond
VerSquare honors GPC signals. When we detect a GPC signal from your browser:
- Marketing, behavioral, and advertising cookies are not set
- Your data is not shared with third-party marketing services
- Analytics cookies for our own internal use may still be set if you have previously consented, but analytics data is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes
5. Do Not Track (DNT)
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no universal standard for responding to DNT, and it is being deprecated in favor of GPC.
We do not currently respond to DNT signals, but we do honor GPC signals (see Section 4).
6. Managing Cookies Through Your Browser
You can control cookies through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data

- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Cookies and website data
- Edge: Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Cookies and site data
Mobile devices:
- iOS: Settings > Privacy > Tracking
- Android: Settings > Privacy > Ads
Note: Blocking essential cookies may prevent the platform from functioning properly (e.g., you may not be able to log in).
7. Cookie Retention

|---|---|
| Essential cookies | Session or up to 1 year |
| Analytics cookies | Up to 2 years (varies by provider) |
| Marketing cookies | Up to 90 days |
