Is VerSquare really free for providers?
Yes. Claiming your profile, collecting and responding to reviews, dimensional scoring, and directory visibility are free with no time limit and no credit card required. There is no subscription. We earn revenue only when a VerSquare introduction leads to closed business.
What is the referral partnership?
The referral partnership is free to activate. It unlocks qualified client introductions from VerSquare plus advanced tools - an embeddable review widget, advanced analytics, additional services, and team management. In exchange, you pay a success-based referral fee only on business you close from those introductions. Rates are service-specific and collaboratively set when you add services to your profile.
How is my reputation score calculated?
Scores are calculated algorithmically from client reviews across multiple dimensions. VerSquare staff cannot manually inflate or suppress scores - the calculation is independent of whether you have a referral partnership.
When do I owe a referral fee?
Only on business you actually close from a VerSquare introduction. There is no charge for receiving introductions, and no fee until a deal closes. Pre-existing relationships, leads from your own embeddable widget, and contacts made outside the platform do not count.
Do I have to activate the referral partnership?
No. You can claim your profile, collect and respond to reviews, and stay on the free tier indefinitely. The referral partnership is optional — it is what unlocks advanced tools and qualified introductions. Because you only pay on closed business, there is no upfront cost to activating it.
How do I qualify for the Featured tier?
